Carousel Cake: You can adjust this cake to fit your crowd. Here's what you'll need;
Cake Tiers with columns, cake icing, cake icing colors.
Cake mix; since these cakes are round, it looks really cute to do a checker board inside of either pink and white for a girl or blue and white for a boy, in which, you will also need the checker board cake set which is just a piece of white plastic. You can get the kit at most stores which also comes with the three pans. Instead cbrown and yellow you will have pink and white for a girl baby shower or blue and white for a boy baby shower. We used dum dum pops and animal cracker cookie's (the horse shapes) for the carousel horses. We found that the dum dum pops stayed in the cake better when placed inside a drinking straw. We used pastel colored dum dum pops and pastel colored straws and we used icing to decorate the horses hair, tail and saddle in different pastel colors. We placed tulle and decor in between the tiers. We used baby wrapping paper to cover the cake plate, which is also a great place to do any writing, such as "welcome baby". Use pastel colors for icing decorations. and a small geletin cake pan for the carousel top.

Baby Blocks cake: What you'll need: medium to small square cake pans. Cake mix, icing, icing colors and pastel bows.

We used ribbon and pastel cake sprinkles on top of the cake. Use pink and other pastel colors for a girl. and replace pink with blue for a boy baby shower cake. Spell out B-A-B-Y and 1-2-3-4 on the other sides.

Classic Pooh Cake: This is a great idea for a pooh themed baby shower. It has a hunny pot on top, which say "Hunny" on the front of the honey jar with honey (yellow cake icing) spilling out the top of the honey jar. The honey pot is made from two cup cakes the top cupcake is turned upside down to make the shape of the honey pot and the trim from the top of one of the cup cakes is used to make the honey pot lid. We put a little icing bee on top of the honey pot. The second layer of cake says "a little hunny is on the way" and the bottom layer features scenes from classic pooh and friends. The bottom border of the cake is little honey bees.
